Who we are
Cape Farewell Foundation is a North American charity that promotes a cultural response to climate change. By connecting people with climate science through a human-scale vision of the future offered by artists, the organization fosters human and planetary resilience by facilitating new ways for creativity, science, technology and business to work together.

What we do
We bring leading artists together with climate scientists, engineers, economists and health practitioners. Specialists from these diverse backgrounds share insight to engage with ideas outside their area of expertise. With this research as a point of departure, artists create works that inspire and transform audiences in the public domain through exhibitions, performances, writing, and digital media.

Why we do it
Cape Farewell Foundation sees a need to bring together the evidence-based approach of scientists with cultural investigations to enact social change. An artist's perspective can provide meaningful context to the complexity of science. Cape Farewell's approach conveys a solutions-based narrative by bringing a human and emotional dimension to climate change.
